Henrik goes to video

Grunty baby noises, in three parts! If you're only going to watch one, watch part 3. Or play all three simultaneously for triphonic baby babble!

Do you feel a breeze?

Henrik's new hairdo

Daddy's jealousy finally got the better of him, and he lowered Henrik's ears a couple of inches with the clippers. The first trim was yet another learning experience, but Henrik didn't really protest too much, and we're hoping the clippings will produce a nice keepsake for us. I completely missed the "Curly" faces he was making while Yilien was holding him, but there are still some good ones. And yes, his head does feel like a peach when you rub it.

Beds, Baths, and Beyond

Lumping these together. The kid loves to bathe. Well, to be bathed would be more accurate, since we're the ones who do all the laving. "Splish-splash, another bath" is Henrik's first real soap, water, and tub bath. We couldn't wait to give him a real bath once his cord dropped, and he took it in stride.

"Ama gives Henrik a bath" is about a week and a half after "splish-splash". It was his maternal grandmother's first chance to bathe him, and it looks like they both had fun.

"Naked Baby!" is just that, naked baby photos. He's just laying there, enjoying the warm breezes. You can see the little space heater we've set up on the crib mattress specifically to keep him warm during diaper changes and post-bath dressings.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Henrik was being attended to by his servants as the clock rolled over from 2009 to 2010. Aeryn and Melissa came by on the weekend, which I figure is close enough to the new year to include Melissa holding Henrik here.

Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings!

OK, I confess, I'm cheating by putting this one here. We took these photos on 1/9. So don't think you missed our cards in the mail. We're not sending any. See? Sometimes it pays to take your time taking down the tree. Hell, maybe we'll leave it there until next year, adds a little greenery to the room...

Game Time!

Game Time!

Phil was able to get tickets to a great San Jose Sharks game, against division rivals the Anaheim (not-so-mighty) Ducks. We had a great time, and the Sharks won (I'm now 6-0-0 for games attended). Uncle Phil also gave his new nephew some appropriate swag, one garment is modeled here by Henrik while he and Daddy watch the Sharks on T.V.

Merry Xmas!

Right, so, we've been slacking off on this a bit, so here's a spate of posts, generally in chronological order. We'll begin with Christmas. My sister Karen and her family were unable to attend due to illness; which left us sorely disappointed, as we were hoping to take photos of the cousins together. Not that those photos would've been posted any sooner than these were...
